How to Charter a Yacht

Carefully fill in the YACHT REQUEST FORM. Please be sure to complete your choice of yacht and the dates you are interested in. Note that the yacht will be available from Saturday to Saturday. Immediately upon receipt of your charter request form we will ascertain the availability of the yachts you requested and get back to you immediately. If you agree with our proposals we will reserve the yacht for you for a period of 7 days. If we have not heard from you after this period we will assume that you no longer require the vessel and the option will be cancelled. During this option period it is recommended to formalize your travel arrangements to Greece.
When we receive your approval we will send you the CHARTER PARTY AGREEMENT for acceptance and signing. The charter party should be confirmed by a down payment of 50% of the total amount to our bank account. The contracts which have to be returned to us with the exception of your copy together with the down payment become your booking confirmation.
The balance 50% is paid to our bank account 4 weeks before embarkation.
In the period from the booking to the charter start you will have time to organize your trip details. During this period we will need from you the following:
- -Crew list with names, passport numbers, dates of birth, contact info’s.
- -Arrival info (day, time, flight, airport)
- -Copies of sailing licenses.
- -Orders for any extras.
The CHARTER TERMS are clearly outlined in the CHARTER AGREEMENT which will be sent to you after your notification of interest.
At the Charter rate the full use of the yacht and its equipment are included.
Are not included: Food, drinks, fresh water, Diesel fuel, Moorings, marina, canal fees (if any). Crew fees. Clients personal holiday insurance. Comfort package which is 25 Euro per cabin, end cleaning, bed sheets, water, gas, towels, o/b gasoil.
All our yachts are insured against risks from liability to third parties, against damage to hull, gear and equipments. There is a deductible provision, according to the size of the yacht. Please note that yacht insurance does not cover your personal belongings and injuries.
According to the Greek Law at least two members of the crew must have a sailing certificate. The Skipper must provide an original certificate or license resuming his sailing experience and the second Skipper must provide a license or official statement.
You are required to pay a refundable security deposit at the time of embarkation in order to cover the possibility of damage to the yacht or loss of equipment which are not covered by the insurance of the yacht. This deposit is refunded to you in total if the yacht and its equipment are returned intact. In case of loss or damage the estimated amount is withheld and the balance is returned to you. Upon the safe return of the yacht it will be returned in full to you. Also there is the possibility to pay a non refundable security deposit.
The Security deposit will be paid upon embarkation in one of the following ways:
- Credit card VISA, or MASTERCARD.
There is a possibility to hire a Skipper with the cost of 150€ per day plus his food.
PICKING UP YACHT-RETURNING YACHT
Usually on Saturday embanking at 17:00p.m and returning at 09:00a.m.
In all the bases the supermarkets are close to the marina of departure. If you want you can fill in the form of the provisioning list and at no extra cost everything can be delivered to you upon your arrival to the yacht, but we should have this list at least 10 days before your arrival.
The yacht will be delivered in a perfectly clean condition.
Our sailing bases are the marinas in Alimos-Athens (main), in Rhodes, in Kos, in Lefkada, but in some cases you can request to pick up your yacht from other locations. Check in time at 17:00 on Saturday and Check out time at 09:00 on Sunday but it is flexible. Checking, control and briefing the equipment can be done properly during daylight hours, in case you arrive late we will start the following morning.
